Family and Domestic Violence Leave Policy

From 1 February 2023 employees of businesses with 15 or more employees will be eligible to 10 days paid family and domestic violence leave. Employees in small businesses, with fewer than 15 employees, will be eligible for the leave from 1 August 2023.

This policy recognises the important role workplaces can play in supporting their employees deal with the adverse consequences of family and domestic violence leave in the context of work. This policy also supports employers in achieving their compliance obligations under Australian workplace law.
